Verona Chamber of Commerce

Twelve miles north of the golden triangle of Pittsburgh, PA on the Allegheny River lies the dynamic Borough of Verona. In 2021, the half a square mile gem celebrated its 150th birthday. Verona, originally an iconic river town, was transformed into a highly industrialized and modernized community back in the 1850s with the arrival of railroads. The influx of the European immigrants filled the positions of business owners while railroad and hotel workers and church goers bolstered Verona to flourish in its formative years. The spot that’s more than a dot boasts micro-breweries, shopping mall and a main street with varied shops, and was recently tagged as a destination town.
